There are 36 lessons from September - June with 9 payments (no payment for December). Although the schedule varies from 3-5 lessons / month (due to stat holidays & spring break) the monthly payment is always $160 as we ensure that the all the students have a full 36 lessons booked within September-June. Please look at the Matsqui Stables Calendar HERE for a full list of class dates before you book your lessons. There is a very noticeable difference in the riders who ride seasonally and the riders who commit to the school year. Consistency is the key when learning any new skill. We really encourage you to take the plunge and see just how much you can grow when you commit to the full school year of lessons. |

Cowboy boots (western) refer to a specific style of riding boot historically worn by cowboys. They have a high heel, rounded to pointed toe, high shaft, and traditionally no lacing.

Ropers (western) have a short boot shaft that stops above the ankle but before the middle of the calf, with a very low and squared-off "roper" heel, shaped to the sole of the boot, usually less than one inch high. The roper style is also manufactured in a lace-up design.

Paddock boots (english) are short boots that come just above the ankle, used most often for pleasure riding and everyday use. They are frequently worn by young riders because they are less costly for rapidly-growing chil dren. The lace-up style and elasticized Chelsea boot design are both acceptable.

Half Chaps are combined with paddock boots for added protection to the leg or to give the visual impression of a tall boot.

Breeches (english) also known as jodhpurs, are tight-fitting trousers that reach to the ankle where they end in a snug cuff, and are worn primarily for horseback riding.
